| Bot = Bolt on Turbos ...
There are many workshops offering you folks BoTs so beware of them, check carefully the contents of the package.
As far as I know, if you put a turbo onto a non-turbo engine, you will need to change the Conrods, pistons at least. There is something else internally you need changing but I kindof forgot. If you do not change the interal stuff, when you step on the pedal and rev too much, your conrods and pistons will melt, not to mention your poor engine cylinder head ... You will need at least reinforced conrods and pistons.
The prices might be attractive and also the mere mention of turbotatisation is heavenly ... do pay attention to the minor details or else face complete destruction of your engine.
Peace out. | |

Peace out. not necessary to change engine internals if you are on low boast like 0.6-.8bar, but again it depends on the stock compression of the car you are booasting... 12 is way to high to BOT... miss gear only..thats it..bye bye to everything... | |

| To be frank. Depending on what kinda of workshop is approach. some workshop only do accordingly to what the customer want. You pay for it they do it. End of the day, they boh chap whether you engine can take it or not. Take is why the owner also must have experience in doing such a mod. Stock engine cannot take high continue boost. Even a turbo car with stock engine going for it's turbo, boost increment. The engine may over heat up very fast if it's out of control. In many case, alot of ppl thought take upgrading it's turbo and Intercooler will not have problem as the intercooler will helps to cool the parts faster. But totally wrong concept. The engine also have to be build to handle high boost power to balance it up. Another type of workshop lagi tok kong. Samuri sword keep cutting and slashing the customer. Like I mentioned above. Non experience or new to turbo setup. The workshop will tells you all sorts of reason and you need to add this and that and ended up with far above your budget spend. End of the day.. Pocket 1 big hole. So, after having all this setup with money spend. What next? Just zooming in and out Sg road with those BOV sound... I have a GTI? GTI = Got Turbo Inside... . Well, at least after having those money spend out.. go and earn them back somewhere on legal track. Else, I felt it's a waste. Sorry if these remark offended someone. It's just my 2cts thought.... as I have came along this before. Cheers... | |

| most of the time, the engines are pretty expensive ... except kancil the 660cc ones ... almost like scrap metal price ... but also have to depend on the extent of the damage some only need change head or some need change block only ... so case varies ... and still have to add workmanship lor ... timing belt adjust, alignment ... haiz ... | |
